Fallen tree: trimmed, carved and top surface planed smooth-with added stone                                Tree dimensions: 12 in. diameter x 18 ft.

This site is a bottleneck joining two pastures, and the tree had fallen across it.  As I worked, a small group of cows walked by and one came close to me, put out its tongue and gently touched my bare arm.
